Spirit of the Mountains in Wentworth Falls
Our clients in Wentworth Falls were looking for new blinds, a custom sofa, new fireplace, custom book case and a paint spec for their newly built lounge + dining space in Wentworth Falls. With a brand new, blank canvas to design, bringing forward the spirit of the Blue Mountains was a key element to the interior design brief for this Mountains Retreat.
We started with a duo of custom designed Molmic Sofas covered in durable, natural leather. We love that natural leather softens and wears over time, giving a natural texture and movement to the Sofa.
Blockout blinds were next on the list. As we had chosen a neutral colour palette for the walls to reflect the abundant natural light of the space, adding colour and movement with a printed custom window furnishings provided some life and interest to the space.
Roman blinds were selected for the windows along with full length curtains for the exterior doors leading to the outdoor entertaining space. These curtains and blinds not only block out the light, but also help to regulate temperature indoors.
With the request for a custom bookcase, T&B came forward with a unique design to completely frame the door way. Finishing the bookcase in ‘engine room’ by Porters created a statement entry to the new living and dining space, framing the printed blind beyond to perfection.
Finally, the addition of a Jetmaster Heat and Glow gas log fire to warm the space, ensured ambience meets practicality in this Blue Mountains weekender.
